Here is a picture (from the Charlotte Observer) of one of the trees from the VanLandingham estate that went down in the storm last week. It was truly as impressive in person as it appears in this picture.
Things are almost back to normal now, except for all the squashed houses, porches and roofs still left in the 'hood.
